West Bay (Lochmara)

This is the most sheltered of the bays in Lochmara Bay and is safe in all winds except gale force SE.

There are a large number of moorings around the bay but plenty of room to anchor.

West Bay is much like a small village with its many baches and holiday homes, meaning it can be very busy.

The head of the bay is shallow within 100 m of the shore.

If one can find space, the holding can be quite good.
