Anatohia Bay gives shelter from NW to W winds in the coves north of Onario Point but the combination of a steeply shelving sea bottom and lack of trees for a stern line can make it difficult to get good anchorage.
There is a dangerous reef extending south-eastwards from Onario Point for 120 metres ending in a rock about one and a half metres below LWS.
There are also rocks out from the coast on the northern side of the second cove, north of Onario Point.
