Waterfall Bay has considerable depth of water with a rocky bottom.
The only recommended anchorage is in the small cove on the northern side, just at the entrance to the bay.
A stern line is essential and boats should be pulled back as close to the shore as possible.
In doing this it is important to allow for the large rise and fall of the tide.
This anchorage should not be used in gale force NW winds as they funnel down the valley and out into the main part of Port Ligar.
