This is the southern-most bay in Fitzroy Bay.
It is comparatively shallow and there is good holding in a sandy bottom.
Vessels should not approach too close to shore and should stay clear of the rocky outcrops of Long Reef Point.
There are private moorings in Canoe Bay, near the house in the southernmost corner.
The bay is rather exposed for anchorage, but can be satisfactory in the north-western corner in W to N conditions.
