Godsiff (Matai) Bay

The main part of this bay is very exposed to all winds. On the eastern side of the bay, is a small cove, with an anchorage for about two or three boats.

The cove is extremely shallow and care should be taken.

Boats should anchor with a stern line to the northern shore, between the land and the rock, which is just by the anchorage position.

This anchorage is recommended for smaller vessels of about ten metres in length and is satisfactory for most wind conditions, but care should be taken in strong SW winds.
